I was in the area and stopped in to see what the store was offering. The store is clean and the prices weren't too bad. The produce section was very limited and the quality wasn't something that I would recommend. The meat section wasn't too bad and had numerous items at a reduced price. The biggest concern I had was when I picked up one of the frozen pizzas and they were all outdated. I immediately put it down and walked out. I highly recommend checking dates of products before purchasing them.

It's my second or third time to the Save-A-Lot over on North Goodman street. For the most part they have what I want. Wish they did have a few more brand name items, like Prego sauce. But there are a lot of pluses for going there it's closer to my house, and it saves me time. I started with four stars, but changed it to five. Went there today is my fourth time, and it was a good shopping experience. They had everything I was looking for.

It is a grocery store in the hood but I shop here occasionally just to keep their doors open.

You can buy basic staples from this store, but it isn't very big, and therefore doesn't have a huge selection of product. The store is pretty decently clean, but the overall vibe of the place is a bit sketchy. I've never witnessed anything weird going on, but there's usually a security guard standing by the front door.

Great place to shop for discount food. Excellent staff and management. The Plaza where it's located is a bit busy but the store itself is never packed. Always clean,too.
